Proposals:
Proposal 1:
Submitted by Shannon Fadden
Page 49 Section 11, Letter C. WHO Shows
I propose to strike the last sentence “Any rider competing at the PSHA State Championship Show must compete for WA at the OR/WA Interstate Show.”
The newly revised version would be:
- WHO Shows: Western Horsemen of Oregon (WHO) approved games shows to be included in averages for PSHA. Times must be submitted by the rider on the approved form to the PSHA times-keeper. Times must be postmarked within 72 hours except for the last weekend, when times must be postmarked within 24 hours. To be accepted, 1.00 per ride must be included and either the show steward or the show chairman must initial the form.
Forms will be available on the website or upon request from the state office. A copy of the entry form must be attached to the PSHA Form and fees will be paid on every event
entered at a rate of 1.00 per ride. Times will not count for PSHA records. Penalties noted as “plus 5” to be noted as a no time on the PSHA Form.
** Note that we need to update the ride fees to the appropriate ride fee for the year.
Proposal 2:
Submitted by Melonie Parks
Page 62, Section 13, Letter K State Finals Dress Code:
I propose to add:
In 2-person and 4-person teams, coordinated outfits and costumes that don’t meet the western attire definition are allowed if they are safe to ride in. Western boots or riding shoes are still required. Any questionable costumes should be brought to State Finals stewards and approved before the event. Any unsafe props must be removed before riding. Any such costumes may not be allowed at Interstate.
The new section would read:
- State Finals Dress Code: All competing contestants must wear Western Attire. Western attire is defined by: Western Jeans, Western boots or appropriate riding shoe and a button down/snaps/zippers, collared shirt. Collared shirts may be short, long or sleeveless. Neat polo shirts are acceptable. All hats/visors/helmets are permitted during State Competition.
That does it for me for now.
See you in a couple weeks!
