Here are the proposals for Convention:
Proposal 1:
Bylaw Proposal
Submitted by Shannon Fadden

Page 79 Article IV Section 2 Duties:
I propose amending this section of the bylaws from “will meet” to “should meet” such
that it will read as follows:
1. The Executive Board SHOULD meet quarterly from November through April and
Monthly from May through August to review organization financials and discuss
other topics that are affecting the organization. This meeting can be done via
Teams, Zoom or in person.
2. The Meeting SHOULD be scheduled by the President the second week of the
month, or as the team can come together, so that there is time for previous
month financials to be competed and shared by the treasurer with the Executive
Board for review prior to the meeting. Any member of the Executive Team can
schedule the meeting to make sure it is held.
Purpose: The Cadence and purpose of the meeting is important. But over the past two
years, it has been difficult to keep up. I want to change the wording so that the
Executive team has some flexibility in holding the meetings.

Proposal 2:
Submitted by Melonie Parks
Page 59, Section 13 Letter B: State Finals Date
I propose to change this section to add the words “the second full weekend of August.”
Such that the section would read:
B. Date: State Finals Championship show will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
of the second full weekend of August. No other shows will be approved for the same
weekend as the State Finals Championship Show.
** If August 1 st falls on a Sunday, State Finals will be August 13, 14 and 15. (two weeks
later). If August 1 st falls on a Saturday, State Finals will be August 7, 8 and 9.
Purpose: I believe it’s important to add stability to the planning of State Finals. Many of
us are involved in multiple horse organizations and have things to plan. This creates
stability for long-term planning of State Finals. This essentially creates two weeks
between the final show of the year and State Finals.
