Congratulations PSHA Family!!! What a weekend at Interstate. I want to thank all that
were there for their heart, excitement, passion and camaraderie that they showed from
the bleachers to the arena and across the state line. You did Washington and PSHA
proud.
Thank you to all of our family that was at home following along and cheering and
praying for our success and safety.
Until the last two events, this was one of the most dominant team performances that I
can remember at interstate. While 2M 3B and Team Flags didn’t go the way we’d
expect, it didn’t matter. We still won 1668 to 1456. The entire team performed at really
high level. But I was especially in awe of our juniors. We had 7 first time juniors at
interstate and many of them ran PRs and placed well, include Brady Lowe that ran 4
clean runs and had the second most points scored by a junior on the weekend.
Keeping up a theme that has gone on for many years, even some we’ve lost,
Washington took home both High Point Saddles. Congrats to Maddy Olson and Brylee
Roorda, our high point senior and junior. Both ran some really fast times and won a few
buckles along the way.
Also, a big congratulations to Queen Emma Albright on her coronation as Interstate
Queen! That also means we’re looking for next year’s Princess. Reach out to Emma or any of
your executive team if you have questions about being an Interstate Princess!
I can’t express how grateful I am to be a part of a team that rode, cheered and upheld
each other as a team.

Convention: Up next for us is Convention. We’ll be at Silver Reef Casino again this
year. They have been awesome to work with we’re working to put together another fun
and relaxing event.
We’ll be there Nov. 1-3. Meeting will start at 9am on Saturday morning. We’ll go over
state business and look at and vote on rule proposals for the coming year.
Bi-Law proposals were due earlier this week. Rule proposals are due to me by
September 10 th . Remember that you need to be present at the meeting to bring your
proposals to the floor.
